Andrew Dansker

Andrew Dansker is the First Vice President of Finance in the Manhattan office of Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation (MMCC). Mr. Dansker is responsible for securing commercial debt financing for an array of property types including multifamily, office, retail, and hospitality. Over the course of his career, Mr. Dansker has arranged over $1 billion in debt. He has existing relationships with both national and regional lending sources including government agency lenders, commercial banks, CMBS lenders, life insurance companies, private and public funds and bridge lenders.

Mr. Dansker has more than ten years of experience in the real estate industry. Prior to joining MMCC, he was a mortgage broker at Cooper-Horowitz Inc. He also served as the Managing Director of Matrix Realty Group, was a summer associate in the offices of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver and Jacobson LLP and worked with Intervest National Bank in New York.

Mr. Dansker earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Chicago and a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law.

Cynthia has extensive experience in real estate origination, workout and restructuring. She has financed multiple property types including multi-family, office, hotel, cooperatives and retail. 

Prior to joining Apple Bank in 1994, consulted on workouts and restructurings as President of Foray Capital Corp. for 2 years, co-founded by three women from Chemical Bank. Vice President at Chemical Bank for 9 years in both the Real Estate and the Asia Middle East Africa Divisions. 

BS in Biology from Barnard College, MA in Art History from Columbia University, and an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Columbia University.

Susan Baumel-Cornicello

Susan Baumel-Cornicello, a founding partner of Cornicello, Tendler & Baumel-Cornicello, LLP, is a New York City native admitted to practice law in 1989. After working in a general practice for four years and sampling different areas of law, Susan made the calculated decision to concentrate her practice exclusively in the area of real estate and landlord/tenant. For more than 30 years Susan has represented landlords in the City of New York in all matters arising out of the landlord-tenant relationship. Susan takes great pride in strategizing and litigating holdovers and non-payments in both commercial and residential arenas.

Susan’s greatest passion however is advising and representing landlords in administrative matters regarding rent regulation, such as rent stabilization and rent control coverage issues, overcharge complaints, MCI’s, substantial rehabilitation and demolition applications. Susan specializes in performing due diligence for prospective purchasers of rent regulated buildings who are interested in discovering potential overcharge liability and whether apartments properly came out of rent regulation.

Peter Von Der Ahe

Senior Managing Director, New York Multifamily at Marcus & Millichap

Peter is the founder of the New York Multifamily Team at Marcus & Millichap, the nation’s largest commercial real estate firm. The team specializes in NYC mid-market multifamily investments, selling an average of 1 billion dollars of multifamily buildings each year. Backed by the national platform of Marcus & Millichap, they serve private and institutional investors in the multifamily industry.

In addition, Peter hosts “Behind the Bricks,” the #1 podcast about NYC Multifamily real estate investing. Peter has also authored a book titled: Family Secrets: Secret Strategies to New York City Multifamily Investing. This work conveys several first-hand experiences detailing how to successfully invest in the NYC multifamily marketplace. Finally, Peter’s market commentary is frequently found in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Crain’s New York Business, The New York Post, The Commercial Observer, Real Estate Weekly, Globe Street, and many other industry publications.

Bryan Dinkelacker

Bryan Dinkelacker is the senior vice president of ConnectOne Bank where the platform specializes in Bridge, Land, Mixed-use, Office/Retail and transitional Multi-family lending. Bryan was previously a top-ranked loan officer at Valley National Bank for several years and has been instrumental in strategic and operational management endeavors at both institutions.

Bryan graduated from Villanova with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, has completed Level I & II of the CFA program and is currently finishing up his MBA at New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business with specializations in Real Estate, Corporate Finance and Corporate Strategy.

Daria Benstead

Senior Processor, Marcus & Millichap

Daria has been a processor for the Northeast region of Marcus & Millichap Cap. Corp. for over five years and has closed over 300 loans, with local and national banks. She has built trusting relationships with the various bankers throughout the years and is familiar with each bank’s process and underwriting procedure. Daria works with the clients to facilitate a smooth deal transaction for the client and bank through the application, underwriting and closing process, keeping the client updated throughout the transaction until closing. 

Prior to working at Marcus & Millichap, Daria worked for a nationwide mortgage company originating residential loans. From there she got her real estate license in NJ and PA and went into selling commercial real estate, working with investors/users specializing in industrial/warehouse properties. In addition, she is experienced in purchasing, renovating and selling multifamily and retail properties.
